Drop-in Flu Clinic on October 11
Let’s make sure we all stay healthy during this upcoming flu season. A flu shot can save a life, and the VMA together with Life Plus Pharmacy are working hard to keep you flu free. Drop in to get your flu shot and stay safe.
The Drop-in Flu Clinic will be held on Sunday October 11th (corrected date) at Foothill Center from 9:30 to 2:30; bring your Medicare card and an ID. It really is just that – Drop-in, no appointment necessary! Easy peasy! One, two, three and done!
To keep our flu clinic going year after year, we need at least 100 residents to come on Sunday October 11th from 9:30 to 2:30 at Foothill Center!
Programs September and October 2026
8-Week Balance Workshop – Clifford Shaw with ComForCare will conduct an 8-week course on fall prevention. The class is on Mondays starting September 28th and runs until November 16th from 1:00-3:00PM in Cribari Conference room. Class is FULL.
Ghosts, Hauntings and Paranormal Investigations -Husband and wife team, Elle Noel and Jessie Garcia of San Jose Paranormal will present on Saturday October 10th from 12:30-2:00PM on their experiences and work in this field.
Anti-Aging with Nutrition – Alexa Fields, clinical lab scientist at Stanford and an acupuncturist will discuss seasonal food as medicine. Wednesday, October 14th at 11:00 AM in the Sequoia Room.
Modern Solutions to Back and Leg Pain – Dr. Kris Okumu, a fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon will present on Wednesday October 21st at 11:00 AM in Cribari Conference Room.
Support Groups September and October 2026
Alcoholics Anonymous: Will have a weekly meeting in the Sequoia Room every Friday from 5:00 – 6:00 PM. The next meeting September 25th. This meeting is open to Village residents.
Caregiver Support Group: Judith London Ph.D. conducts this monthly group where caregivers meet to share, listen, and learn. Next meeting is October 15th from 10:30 – Noon in the PATIO room and via Zoom. Please contact Judy for all meeting specifics: judithlondon@sbcglobl.net or call 650-468-9624.
Grief Support Group: Pastor Bill Hayden will again be offering grief support for those who have experienced a loss every Monday through December 7th. The group is held in the Sequoia room from 10:30 – noon. Booklets used are available in the chapel office.
Parkinson’s Support Group: This monthly group is for all people interested in Parkinsons. The next meeting is on Thursday September 24th at 10:00 AM in the Patio room. No need to register; all are welcome.
